About Us

PLEASE NOTE. We are taking a break from breeding currently. However the younger members of our family, under their own breeding license are, and you can locate them at info@humphriespoos.co.uk.

Based in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, with acres of land and a lake, our dogs have the best of everything.

It all started for us when our son was very allergic to most animals, and being a family of dog lovers we really wanted to find a solution to having a family dog that worked for all of us.

Eventually we discovered The Cockapoo and have never looked back. However it took us two years to find our first Cockapoo, and if you want to read more about this and the troubles we had and why we do what we do, you can read more HERE We are sure many of you will relate to this.

Breeding is not just what we do, we have another unrelated business, but our home, surroundings, and our other business permits us to be able to be at home with our dogs and give them the care, love and attention they need and we have lots and lots of space!

Our desire is based upon the passion for the Cockapoo and determination to remove the terrible places we visited when we were looking for our first Cockapoo "Raffles" and to give sensible quality families/people a quality breeder with support for life.  The name Raffles is used under licensed and a registered trademark.

People come to us from miles around, stay overnight and enjoy this part of the Country that we live. We have Sungburys famous ice cream on our doorstep, Bridgemere Garden World, The Candle Factory, Cheshire Oaks outlet shopping, we are 20 minutes from City of Chester, and 5 minutes from the historic town of Nantwich. So why not make a visit to us an enjoyable few days break if you live many hours away.

We have had the pleasure of meeting many interesting people, far and wide who have had our Cockapoos and Cavapoos, and many of our dogs are involved with PR to promote products for top brands.

We are extremely knowledgeable on puppy health, breeding, and all aspects of animal welfare. It does not stop with just buying a Raffles Cockapoo you benefit from our entire support systems we have become so well known for. People will say when they see a Cockapoo, is that a Raffles Cockapoo?  We have also made it social, everyone loves their Cockapoo, so you can share updates, chat to others, organise walk meet ups, and lots more. It is certainly a super way to make new friends. We have a large Raffles Cockapoo community Here

Some of our dogs are therapy dogs, school dogs and many are in homes with children with disabilities, also plenty of families who struggled with allergies, now enjoy having a wonderful family Companion.

  • We health check both parents. Our Dads also are hipped scored

  • The nature of the parents is vital, our dogs are lovely and very suited to families.

  • Be involved from the start, see your pup with Mum, we allow visits at 4 weeks of age onwards and again around 7 weeks before weaning is completed. Our pups are inside our home until fully weaned.

  • We use to have external breeding arrangements in place but we don’t offer this any more, it is only our own dogs. Since we re-commenced breeding after the closed period we had during Covid, we only breed from our own dogs and we do not offer the breeding arrangements any longer. This means less litters and less footfall.

You are ring fenced when you have a Raffles Cockapoo, you benefit from our veterinary advice should you need it, you receive quality support as and when required and importantly you are part of our growing Raffles family. In the rare event there are any issues with your dogs health, we will always support you, our support is for a lifetime. Your pup is health checked not once but twice, this is done by our vet at vaccination time and our pups cannot leave us until they have had two vaccinations and 10 weeks of age, two full health checks (not one) plus we issue a right to return guarantee. We can offer you a four week free cover note for pet insurance so we cover you for any unforeseeable eventualities, with illness and injury cover up to £4,000. Our statistics on any issues at all in our pups are low.. As pups are breathing living things it is impossible to guarantee perfection for life, but we do health test and do what we can to ensure we limit any possible health issues. We also have in place a full socialisation policy of what we do and also importantly give you guidance on what you should do.

If life goes wrong or something unplanned occurs, which it can, we are there for you and will help you re-home your dog, safely and easily to another quality owner.

We are proud of our dogs, our ethical breeding programmes, and the quality of what we do and how we do it.  We are not typical to your normal dog breeder, but you will see this when you visit. Raffles Cockapoos was created simply by our experiences when we were looking for our first Cockapoo, we have developed over the past years.

All the images you see at this page, or www.fortheloveofcockapoos.co.uk is a Raffles Cockapoo. We have galleries available at this website and also FLOC website, plus our busy Facebook Community Page. If this is the look and quality you like, then a Raffles is for you.

All our pups are born inside. Well handled and socialised. They are in open top pens, which work well. They are use to all noises and hustle and bustle of daily life. and we have a full socialisation plan inside which includes different floor surfaces and a range of experiences, a copy of this is provided with all our pups. Our bred pups are not born or raised in kennels, they are inside our home with their Mum. We do have plenty of room here to provide this facility. We have a nursery built inside and this is viewable to visitors, but protected behind glass for the safety of pups and our Mums. We also have more pens built inside, and you can view these on live TV streaming cameras so you can see how and where they are raised.

Be involved from the start, see your pup with its Mum, we allow visits at 4 weeks of age onwards and again around 7 weeks before weaning is completed. Our pups are inside our home until fully weaned.

Hear what others say!

  • My husband and I did an awful lot of research before we decided that Raffles were the breeders for us...one hears such horror stories !! I was in constant contact with Alison in the weeks before we picked up our puppy and no amount of daft questions/requests fazed her. We were due to visit to 'check out' the set up but due to family illness couldn't make it. We therefore paid our pre-reserve fee over the phone. This I did against my better judgement. I need not have worried. We visited to pick our puppy (something we prefer to do in person rather than from photos alone) and Mark was unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable. Raffles clearly care about their dogs and if I ever decide to get another Cockapoo (and believe me the idea is already ticking away in my brain) I would have absolutely no hesitation in going to Raffles again. Would I recommend them to other people...most definitely. Thank you

  • When we decided, after lots of consideration to get a dog; I did a lot of research on different breeds and finally decided on a Cockapoo. I then did a lot of research to find the right breeder and that's when I found Raffles. I read the whole of their webite over and over again! The information on there was great and very helpfull. These were the breeders I wanted to buy my fur baby from no doubt. I emailed Alison and filled out the pre-reserve form, sent off my pre-res payment and then waited anxiously everyday until the pics arrived for us to choose from.we shortlisted 2 (did want them all) and made an appointment to go and visit. On our arrival at Raffles (amazing place) we were greeted by 2 gorgeous pups but before we could handle them we had to step in the disinfectant bath and sanitise our hands. We then sat for an hour and a half playing with the 2 we had shortlisted and we finally chose our baby (so hard to choose 😯) we went and picked him up the following week. We have nearly had him a week now and just love him so so much. He has a very lovely nature and is so good. He has already melted our hearts and is very clever. I would highly recommend Raffles Cockapoos when choosing your little pooch as they are fantastic and so are their dogs.

  • We did a lot of research before we decided to go with Raffles, so pleased we did. Fabulous breeders who really do care about their dogs, also it's good to know you have good backup after you bring your puppy home if you need it, we had never had a dog before so needed their advice, which was a real help. We bought Maple home 6 weeks ago, on her 8 week check with the vet, they were very impressed with her, & told us what a good breeder she has come from. She is a lovely natured, gorgeous cockapoo, we adore her & get constantly asked where we got her from! If you do decide on a Raffles cockapoo you won't regret it!

  • When we started looking for a Cockapoo we were discouraged by the amount of unhelpful breeders there were that didn't seem to want to take the time to answer questions about their own puppies! Then we came across Raffles, the time and effort from Alison in answering every message my partner sent (and there were quite a few) was above expectation! When we arrived to collect our new addition, Mark was lovely, he was waiting at the door with her - an unexpected but amazing sight to see as we drove towards the house. He took the time to show us both mum and dad and went through every tip and bit of information we'd need. We now have our little apricot coloured girl, Pippa! She's amazing. Beautiful in colour, coat and nature! She's becoming a very confident little lady and has been the best addition. We are already thinking about getting another! Thank you Raffles! Nikki and Matt x
