Raffles Cockapoo - Mums
We only breed our Cockapoos from the lovely English Show Cocker Spaniel, very beautiful and settled in their nature. We tend not to breed from solid colour show cockers, we have mainly Roans and Sables. We DO NOT breed from the working Cocker. Our Mums are truly exceptional in every way and all our owners meet both Mum & Dad. We, other family members and breeding partners have bred many of our Mums ourselves over the years, so we can be sure of the continued quality and outstanding breeding lines, we only KC register them if they are going to be shown in the ring.
No Raffles Mum has more than three litters, some only have one or even two. We do breed our own spaniels and always have younger generations coming through our breeding programme, this enables us to retire our Mums really early. This is not commonly seen in breeders.

Raffles Dads.
We pride ourselves in the quality of our dogs. Putting it bluntly you cannot have a super Cockapoo or Cavapoo in looks and nature unless the breeding parents fit this criteria themselves. It is something we are really proud of here at Raffles.
Our Dads are below, and mainly Miniature Poodles, we prefer the temperament of the miniature poodle and the joint compatibility flows with our English Show Cocker Spaniels. The size between the Toy poodle and a show cocker spaniel is not compatible and we don't believe in assisted matings, the miniature poodle and the show cocker works perfectly with better compatibility for joint size. Our Poodle sires hip scores vary from 5-15, out of 106, the average for the miniature poodle is 16, and mean for KC for poodle breeding is a mean of 10/11. It is not a requirement even as a dedicated poodle breeder from KC club to hip score the miniature poodle, only 81 have ever been tested in the UK, but we have tested ours regardless of the recommendations.
Our boys are NOT available to be used as a stud, they are owned by us, and only used for the Raffles breeding programme and none of them have any silver poodle in their background.
Although we don't have silver poodles in our line, colours can and do alter in the Cockapoo/Cavapoo you can see more about this at our Gallery under each colour. A cross-bred dog is unique, no two are ever the same. Fading can also come from the roan line, it is not fading, but more of the roan coming through, making the dog appear lighter. A very two toned pup at a young age, will also appear lighter as it grows due to the white two toned nature of the colours as it blends in.
All our spaniels are english show cockers, mostly now all bred by ourselves from our unique breeding lines with outstanding natures, rare colours and beautiful on the inside and out, which underpins the unique Raffles Breeding. With a very refreshing retiring programme, no mum ever has more than 3 litters, some not even 2. We have substantial grounds and a lake and our dogs are all part of life here.
We are licensed and this means, all our mums are on a register, all litters recorded and we are inspected.
